About

Why the name Daisy?
Working out who said what in a meeting — diarization — used to mean a bot had to join your call. Daisy does it botless, right on your own machine. The name is a little play on that word, and a friendlier face for it.

Getting started

What is Daisy?
Daisy is a local-first meeting app that records, transcribes, and summarizes your meetings, and even figures out who said what — all running right on your own computer.
Does Daisy work offline?

Yes. Recording, transcription, speaker identification, and summaries can all run fully on your machine. You decide if anything ever goes online.

For fully offline use, you'll need a local transcription model (the bundled Whisper, or a local Whisper server) and a local language model through Ollama or LM Studio for summaries, goals, and search. With those in place, nothing leaves your device.

Can I import a recording I made elsewhere, like on my phone?
Absolutely. Drop in a common audio file from your phone or anywhere else, and Daisy will transcribe and summarize it just like a live meeting.
What languages does it support?
Many — English, French, Spanish, German, and more. Set a default language and override it for any individual meeting.
How does it know who said what?
Daisy identifies speakers right on your device. Label someone once and it will recognize their voice in future meetings. Voices are encrypted, local to your machine, and never uploaded to us or anyone.

What it works with

What meetings and apps does it work with?
Anything that plays through your computer — Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Discord, phone calls, even podcasts. No bot joins your call and there's nothing to install in the meeting itself.
Which AI providers can I use?
Run fully offline with local models, or bring your own key for a cloud provider like Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Deepgram. You pay those providers directly — Daisy never marks it up or routes your audio through us.
Do I need to pay for AI separately?
Only if you choose a paid cloud provider, in which case they bill your own key directly. The offline option has no AI bills at all.

Search & recall

How does search work?
Search scans every meeting at once — titles, transcripts, summaries, notes, attendees, and tags — and highlights exactly where each match came from. It runs on your machine.
Can I ask questions instead of keywords?
Yes. End a search with a question mark and Daisy answers from across your meetings, with citations linking back to the exact moment it came from.
Does search work offline?
The searching and reading happen locally. Only the final answer step uses your chosen language model — and that can be a local one too.

Privacy & your data

Where does my data live?

Your recordings, transcripts, summaries, and notes stay on your disk in a folder you choose. Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly send it or pick a cloud provider.

Of course, if you keep that folder in a cloud-synced location — Dropbox, OneDrive, Syncthing — every device can share the same profile and recordings, but those files now also live on that cloud. Your call, and out of our hands.

How much online activity does Daisy require?
Very little. The only times Daisy contacts our servers and we can see who you are: signing up as a paid user, checking for app updates, and activating or deactivating a device. Your meetings, audio, and transcripts are never part of that.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Your saved API keys and voiceprints are kept in an encrypted vault on your machine, protected by a passphrase only you know.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Delete any meeting and Daisy wipes its audio, transcript, summary, and notes. You're free to move or back up the folder however you like.

Pricing & billing

How much does Daisy cost?
$15 USD per month or $150 USD per year. It's free for 30 days, with no credit card needed to start.
How many devices can I use?
Up to 3 devices per license.
Do you offer refunds?
Monthly and annual plans are both non-refundable, so please try the 30-day free trial first to make sure Daisy is right for you.
Can't I just reinstall the trial?
You could — but a fresh install won't pick up your old profile, so you'd be re-importing every meeting from scratch. Honestly, the convenience (and the privacy) is worth a few cups of coffee a month.
What happens when my trial or subscription ends?
Daisy stops recording new meetings, but all your existing recordings and transcripts stay in your profile folder. Your data is never held hostage.

Platforms & updates

Which platforms are supported?
Linux and Windows today, with macOS on the way. Email us to be notified when the Mac build lands.
How do updates work?
Daisy tells you when a new version is available and links the download. It never installs anything behind your back.
