Coaching: feedback on how you showed up
The Coaching view reads back over a meeting you recorded and points out what you did well and what to work on, framed around a Topic you choose — usually a role you want to sound stronger in. Everything it says is grounded in what you actually said on the call.
Run a coaching analysis
- Open the Coaching view.
- Under Meeting, pick the recording you want feedback on. Only meetings that have a transcript appear in the list, so record and transcribe a meeting first if the list is empty.
- Under Topic, choose what you want feedback on. Daisy ships with built-in topics such as Project Manager, Management Consultant, and Team Lead. No topic is selected for you, so pick one before you continue.
- Select Get coaching.
When the analysis finishes, you see two columns: up to three Strengths and up to three Areas to improve. Each point references specific moments from the transcript rather than generic advice.
Define your own topic
If none of the built-in topics fit, choose Something else… in its own row below the list to define your own:
- Enter a Role name (for example, "Customer Success Manager").
- In What does this role sound like at its best?, describe the communication style you are aiming for.
- Select Get coaching. The topic is saved so you can reuse it later.
To remove a custom topic you no longer need, select the trash icon next to its name.
Good to know
- Your topic description is sent to the model as data, not as instructions. It can shape what the coach looks for, but it cannot override the coach's job.
- The Goals topic checks a meeting against the specific outcomes you wanted from it instead of a role. See "Checking a meeting against its goals" for details.
- The last topic you used is remembered the next time you open the Coaching view.
- Select Open in Library under the meeting picker to jump to the full recording and transcript.
