Getting started

Daisy runs entirely on your computer. There's no account to create and no bot to invite to your calls.

First-run setup

1. Acknowledge the recording-consent notice — you're responsible for the laws and permissions that apply where you record.
2. Pick a folder where Daisy keeps your meetings.
3. Set a vault passphrase (at least 22 characters). There is no recovery, so write it down.
4. Tell Daisy your name — it's used to frame summaries in the first person.
5. Pick a default microphone.
6. Optionally download a local Whisper model for fully offline transcription.

Press Record any time after that.
