Working with the transcript
Every meeting has a full transcript you can read, navigate, and play back alongside the recording.
Open the transcript
In a meeting, select the transcript tab. The transcript is laid out as speaker turns, each labelled with the speaker and a timestamp where one is available. Turns from other participants are tinted so you can scan who said what, and your own turns are styled separately because Daisy knows which speaker is you.
Jump to a moment in the recording
When a recording is available, the meeting shows a Recording player with standard playback controls.
- Click any turn's timestamp to seek the player to that moment and start playing.
- Click a chapter in the table of contents to jump to where that topic begins.
- Use the player's own controls to play, pause, and scrub.
Speakers
The Speakers row above the transcript lists the voices Daisy has identified. You can play a short sample of any speaker and give them a name. Naming and grouping speakers is handled by on-device diarization — see the speaker diarization article for the full workflow.
Regenerate the transcript
If the transcript needs to be rebuilt — for example after changing the language or transcription provider — open the Action menu and choose Regen. Transcript. This re-runs transcription and de-duplication.
Good to know
- Regenerating overwrites the existing transcript, so Daisy asks you to confirm first.
- If no transcript exists yet, generating a summary will run transcription first.
